Team: IT

Purpose of role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Analyst to join the flydocs team in India. Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Quality Analyst will be responsible for manual and/or automation testing for software, product testing and life cycle management testing, requirement and specification reviews, whilst ensuring the overall quality of the software build.

How do you get to contribute to the business?

• Prepare test cases, test plans, test summary reports and other documents related to testing and quality assurance/control
• Thorough knowledge of fundamentals of software and testing, software verification and validation, bug life cycle
• Prepare test procedures and execute with proper data on all platforms
• Execute and manage Regression testing
• Prepare bug/defect documents and report
• Track and route bugs request
• Follow-up and update for the bug reported to developers
• Work with developers for the bug report, status, and track bug request
• Write technical documentation
• Research, assess, recommend, and adopt new technologies as required
• Keep a tap for timely delivery of different milestones

• Initiate working with the team by picking small tasks, which give you the opportunity to meet and coordinate with other teams.
• Get feedback from your Line Manager regarding progress and further planning
• Set up a regular meeting schedule with teams and managers going forward

By 90 days you will:

• Start work independently on assigned projects
• Become more accountable for your work
• Be proactive and become more involved in the company’s business as usual (BAU)
• Touch base with your manager for feedback about SMART Goals going forward (1:1 Meeting).
• Manage reporting and regular meetings with the team and your line manager

We would be really happy if you had

• 3+ years of experience as Quality Analyst/Assurance or IT Tester
• Confidence and are self-learner
• Hands-on with agile and other estimation techniques
• Hands-on and thorough knowledge of release, test management, quality processes, tools and techniques
• Hands-on with one or more scripting technologies
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues
• In-depth knowledge of functional and non-functional (system, performance and load) testing both manual and automation using test automation tools
• Implement unit, integration, and other automated tests
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum / Kanban practices and STLC principles
• Good communication skills
