Air Iceland selects flydocs
Air Iceland has awarded flydocs a ten-year contract for its revolutionary electronic aircraft records management software and data migration services.
Following the selection of flydocs by parent organisation, Icelandair, earlier this year to digitalise their aircraft records management, Air Iceland has had direct exposure to the expected benefits and level of service and has since decided to follow suit.
Air Iceland forecasts long term financial benefits from the digitalisation of its aircraft records and enhancement of existing processes.
Bjartur Torfason, Technical Director at Air Iceland commented “We see the value in working digitally and particularly in the process enhancements and operational cost savings it will bring. I am looking forward to having secure and instant access to all our aircraft records.”
Adrian Ryan, CEO of flydocs commented “I am delighted to be further developing our relationship across the Icelandair Group and the region with Air Iceland coming on board.”
A flydocs team will be based on-site in Reykjavik. Work has commenced and flydocs will complete the scanning of Air Iceland’s entire fleet before the end of 2016.
