Summary of position

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the FLYdocs team as a Technical Manager.

The Technical Manager plans, monitors and manages projects, from initiation through to completion and engages internal resources to ensure project delivery is on time and aligned with project requirements and objectives.

The role will involve global travel on a frequent basis and requires the ability to work with large corporate customers at the highest level.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing project objectives, providing technical support, product support and overseeing quality control throughout the entire project.
  • Planning, coordinating, implementing and finalising projects according to specifications and deadlines.
  • Working with the client to complete the project’s scope, goals and deliverables, while adhering to the milestones and budgets.
  • Acting as a single point of contact throughout the process and ensuring clients have a positive experience.
  • Identifying, assessing and minimising risks throughout each project.
  • Providing status reports to requesting management and clients.
  • Supporting clients onsite and managing third parties technically while adhering to agreements and contracts.
  • Supporting Physical inspections and providing technical reports.
  • Exercising independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • A willingness and flexibility to travel (sometimes at short notice) will be a requirement to ensure ongoing project management success and customer satisfaction.

Candidates will need to possess a strong aircraft technical background to understand and evaluate technical documentation, agreements and specifications. You will ideally be a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with a degree or HND/C in aeronautical engineering (or other relevant experience). You will have knowledge of airworthiness regulations and requirements and will have ideally been involved in projects covering aircraft lease returns, check management and acquisitions with the ability to present technical information in both verbal and written forms. Proficiency is in Microsoft Office is a must, and a knowledge of engineering systems is desirable.
